St. Mark's Day Care Center believes that each child should be free to learn at his/her pace and style and to have the ability to function as an individual and a member of a group. To meet our objectives, we have competent and sensitive staff. The rooms are arranged in learning centers, including manipulative, art, library, housekeeping, science, music, and large motor activities.
For the young child, play is learning and working. The rooms are arranged in learning centers that include blocks, puzzles, dress-up clothes, crayons, paper and paint. Your child is learning about math, how to get along with others, as well as developing her/her communication and creativity skills. Though your child may occasionally bring home drawings and other proj ects, we are interested in the process of his/her playing and learning as it occurs in the center.
